This page gives you the quickest way to understand how the current Twinnoverse product works before you build your first TV dashboard.
1. Create Your Account #
- Open your Twinnoverse Admin Portal URL.
- Click Create account.
- Enter:
- your work email
- your password
- Complete sign-up.
In the current product flow, the account sign-up screen uses email and password only.
2. Complete Organization Setup #
After sign-in, Twinnoverse checks whether your account already belongs to an organization.
If your account does not belong to one yet:
- Twinnoverse opens the organization setup step.
- Enter your organization name.
- Create the organization.
- Continue into the admin portal.
This is the current first-time onboarding path in the product.
3. Understand the Main Product Areas #
After onboarding, the main areas are:
- Home for the operational overview
- Data Sources for REST API, WebSocket, Ingest, and Manual data
- Layouts for dashboard design
- Playlists for screen playback order and duration
- Campaigns for scheduled and event-driven delivery
- Devices for claiming TVs and assigning playback
- Manual KPI for operator-entered runtime values
These areas work together:
- data sources provide the values
- layouts define the screen design
- playlists define normal playback
- devices show the result on real TVs
- campaigns and event triggers interrupt normal playback when needed
4. Choose the Right Starting Path #
Choose the path that matches your current situation:
Live Data Already Exists #
Use this if you already have a backend, API, or streaming source.
- use REST API, WebSocket, or Ingest
- then follow How to Create a TV Dashboard and Deploy It Live
No API Yet #
Use this if you want to go live without building backend integration first.
- use a Manual data source
- then follow Build a Manual KPI Dashboard
Planned Time-Based Interruption #
Use this for scheduled content such as lunch notices, meetings, or recurring announcements.
- use Scheduled Campaigns
- then follow Create a Scheduled Campaign
Incident or Event-Based Interruption #
Use this when content should appear only when something happens.
- use Event Triggers
- then follow Publish an Event-Driven Layout
5. Recommended First Setup Order #
For most teams, this is the best setup order:
- create your account
- create your organization
- create your first data source
- create your first layout
- create your first playlist
- install and open the reader on the TV
- claim the device from the Devices page by entering the claim code shown on the TV
- assign the playlist to the claimed device
- verify playback on the screen
This order matches the real product flow better than trying to start with the TV first.
6. Important Product Notes #
- the layout editor is designed for a 16:9 landscape screen
- a playlist is usually required for normal playback, even if you only have one layout
- the TV generates the claim code, and the admin user enters that claim code in the portal
- manual KPI and manual event publishing are different features
- event-driven and scheduled interruptions sit on top of the normal playlist baseline
